Ingeborg Lundin was a Swedish glass artist born in Växjö. She studied at Konstfack in Stockholm. Lundin was associated with Orrefors glassworks for an extended period, from 1947 to 1971, and was Orrefors' first female designer. She primarily designed art glass but also utilitarian glass in a light and graceful style, sometimes featuring subtly surrealistic engravings. She is best known for her iconic vase "Äpplet," which has sometimes come to symbolize the 1950s; the model was designed for the H55 exhibition in Helsingborg. Ingeborg Lundin innovated the ariel technique with contemporary geometric motifs and face vases in various colours.
