Ulrica Hydman-Vallien (1938–2018) is considered one of Sweden's most beloved and popular artists. She believed that art should be accessible to everyone and easy to understand. As a versatile artist in the truest sense, there was likely no area she didn't dare to explore, from ceramics, which was her original form of expression, to painting, glasswork, and much more. She even succeeded in placing her well-known snakes and faces on British Airways aircraft. Hydman-Vallien is represented in most major museums in Sweden as well as abroad.
This collection, which we are honoured to present here, has been assembled over many years and was deeply cherished by its previous owner.
