A Georgian seven-piece, sterling silver tea and coffee set, maker's mark of Joseph Angell, London 1817-1823.

Bulbous form with rich decoration of flowers and cartouches, three different crests. The service consists of a coffee pot and a teapot with hinged lids, two sugar bowls and a cream jug, and a large water pot on a heater stand. The interiors of the bowls and the cream jug are gilded. The three lids finial in the shape of a Chinese figure. The handle of the teapot and the insulators of the coffee pot are made of ivory, both handles with wolf's head detail.

Height of the coffee pot 27 cm, length of the teapot 27 cm, width of the bowls 22 and 22.5 cm respectively, height 12 and 13 cm respectively, length of the cream jug 15.5 cm, height 11 cm. Length of the water-pot 29 cm, total height including stand 39.5 cm.
Total weight approx. 6290 g.
