Signed Grünewald. Executed between 1922 and 1925. Watercolour with silver on paper 53 x 66 cm.

More information

Weber's opera "Oberon" premiered at the Stockholm Opera House in 1925. The opera was intended as a main feature in the celebration of the Royal Theater's (Opera's) 150th anniversary in 1923, but for various reasons, it was postponed to 1926. The set designs and costumes were created by Isaac Grünewald between the years 1922 and 1925.
