More information

The clock's fittings can with great certainty be attributed to the Brass Founder in Stockholm, Gustaf Fredrich Bauman, who was only active from 1759 to 1764. The crowning putto is identical to the one on his masterpiece, see auction number 107. Petter Ernst's numbering 445 indicates that the clock was manufactured around 1759.
