Catalogue >
Viewing: 17–21 May. Open: Mon–Fri 11–18, Sat–Sun kl 11–17.
Sale: 22 May start 12.00 CEST.
Address: Bukowskis, Berzelii Park 1 in Stockholm.

This spring’s Modern Art + Design auction includes outstanding art and design from our time’s most prominent artists and designers. The auction includes several masterpieces by Swedish artists who forever have written history, such as GAN, Sigrid Hjertén, Isaac Grünewald, Carl Kylberg and Bror Hjorth. In the international department Bukowskis can present artists such as Jean Riopelle, Henri Laurens, André Lanskoy and Henry Moore – artists who forever will be a hallmark for avant-garde and who also changed the expression of art, as well as changed the way we look at art, around the previous turn of century.

The Furniture & Design department includes a large number of highlights, especially from the Nordic countries, with several exquisite pieces of furniture. Only to mention a few architects and designers included in the sale: Axel Einar Hjorth, Josef Frank, Poul Kjaerholm, Hans J Wegner och Tapio Wirkkala. In this spring’s auction we can also present important pieces from sought-after designers such as Charlotte Perriand, Jean Prouvé and Serge Mouille. Additionally there is a wide range of ceramics by different artists, not to mention a large number of unusually fine ceramics by Pablo Picasso in Madoura, Vallauris, France in the middle of the 20th century.
