ANTIQUE SILK CHINESE. 267,5 x 180 cm.

A yellow ground with blooming polychrome branches as well as a medallion and corner ornaments with five clawed dragons. A wide yellow main border with a meander and swastika pattern. One end has an inscription: Jingrengong beiyong (=To be used in Jingrengong). The pile in silk.

Some partly hard wear, dirty, stains. One side has minor repairs.

Provenance

Chemical engineer Nils Johan and Marianne Sundstedt who lived in Manchoukuo Mukden, (Manchuria), China, in 1939-1941, where Nils Johan Sundstedt founded a paper factory facility.
