A large gilt bronze figure of Yamantaka, Tibet, presumably circa 1900.

Powerfully cast with his arms radiating around him and striding in alidhasana on prostrated figures over a lotus base, holding a vajra and skullcup in his principal hands wrapped around his consort, his face with a ferocious expression. Höjd 34,5 cm.

The consort with one of his hands broken off, missing. Surface dirt.

Purchased by a Swedish Collector at Auction Me Hervé Chayette, Art D'Estrême Orient, Jeudi, 29 mars 1984. Lot no 75. Depticted in catalogue.
