More information

As the only Swede, Hasse Persson was able to conduct an interview and portray Larry Hagman in connection with the launch of the TV series Dallas in Europe and Sweden. Larry Hagman was constantly subjected to threats because many believed he ridiculed Texas culture. He paid little attention to the threats until the day John Lennon was murdered (December 1980). He was very shaken by the fact that it could happen. These images were taken shortly after Lennon’s murder. Against that backdrop, the perfect American smile becomes a mask through which Hagman’s own personality shines through.
