Purchased at Bukowskis Autumn Sale 2007, lot no 1786.

The arms are of Klinckowström, no 1415. Ennobled 1684, introduced 1719. The has two possible consigners; either Leonard Klinckowström (b.30/9 1685 – d. 1/9 1759) or his younger brother Johan Marutiz Klinckowström (b. 1692 – d 1768). Both were investors of the SOIC’s first oktroj. Leonard made a diplomatic career for himself. He married Catharina Ehrenpreuss (b. 16/8 1703 – d.1/9 1757) in 1720. Deputy Director 1739, Secretary of state 1747. Recieves the Order of the Polar Star in 1748 and is elevated to Baron in 1759. Owner of Lövsta outside of Stockholm and an Estate at Drottningatan/Smedjegårdsbrunnen in the city of Stockholm. Dies childless. Made a request in his will that these estates should be sold and a fideikomiss should be purchased and set up in his nephew Thure Leonard Klincowströms name. His nephew became owner of the fideikomiss Rinkesta Hall, Sörmland. His younger brother Johan Marutiz Klincowström, started of as an ensign by the Queens regiment at Stettin, where he 1711 receives the rank of a captain. Is transferred to the Regiment of Wrangel at Stralsund where he is captured by the Danes and taken prisoner for a while. He then becomes aide-de-camp by the crown prince Frederick. In 1732 he married Johanna Maria Falck, they had two daughters. Accompanies Count Carl Gustaf Tessin to Berlin to witness the engagement of Adolf Frederick and Lovisa Ulrika. Chairman at the builderscomission at the Royal Palace. He was a learned man who took great interest in nature and wrote letters and exchanged knowledge about maritime wildlife. Discharge as Lieutenant Colonel in 1744. Receives the knighthood of the order of the Sword in 1748.
