The Rolex Submariner 16610 is one of the most iconic dive watches ever produced. Introduced in the late 1980s and produced until 2010, it was the last Submariner to feature an aluminum bezel insert before Rolex transitioned to the ceramic bezel with the reference 116610. Around 2007, Rolex introduced the engraved rehaut, displaying the Rolex name and serial number along the inner bezel ring— a feature that has since become standard across Rolex models. Collectors often seek out these later examples, as they bridge the gap between the traditional and modern eras of the Submariner.
