Marie-Louise Ekman's art is timeless and constantly relevant. She is an influential and style-forming artist who likes to portray everyday environments, but does not hesitate to mix the absurd and surreal into the picture. She moves effortlessly across borders and likes to use art historical references and mix them with her personal, popular culture elements.
In a series of paintings, Olle Baertling's compositions have been used as a background in each picture. In this painting, a relative of Kajsa Anka (or a similar Walt Disney character) appears and sits at the table in front of a terrified wiener.
