"Architect and artist Per-Erik Nilsson (1926-2017) was a passionate and inspired architect, leaving behind carefully crafted buildings, primarily in Visby, for the rest of us to admire and be influenced by in our everyday lives.
Since the 1950s, Per-Erik Nilsson has been active in Visby and on the island of Gotland, first as an acting city architect recommended by the veteran Erik Lundberg. The restoration of Hejdeby Church was carried out during the early years on Gotland." (Obituary in Dagens Nyheter 2017)
