A Gustavian carved and giltwood mirror by J. Åkerblad (master in Stockholm 1758-99).

The carved frame with pierced and upturned cresting of ribbons and drapings encircling a laurel wreath, the borders with stylized urns, laurel festoons, and patera ornaments against a piqué-worked ground, the apron with bows and ribbons endraping a laurel festoon. Signed and dated 177(?). Height 200, width 82 cm.
