The depicted woman is probably a court lady of the Empress Elisabeth Alexeievna of Russia (born princess of Baden and sister of the Swedish queen Fredrika, Gustaf IV Adolf's wife). The woman wears a brooch in diamonds with the letters EA under the crown of a band rosette.
