The selection represents the collector’s great interest in fashion, exquisite sense of style, and personal eye for details. It will showcase exceptional bags, accessories, and rare runway pieces, namely by Chanel.
– During the many years that we have worked as fashion specialists at Bukowskis, we have never seen anything like this in the fashion category. It is a world-class collection, says Johanna Fock, Specialist Fashion, Bukowskis.
Highlights include an extremely rare Chanel runway white “Camelia jacket” from 2019. It is believed only 10 of the jackets were ever made. Another spectacular lot from Chanel is the famous pre-fall 2020 “Birdcage bag” from creative director Virginie Viard. The limited-edition bag features a drawstring bag in lambskin leather, the door of the bird cage is crafted with two birds, and the bottom features signature pearls and the CC logo. From the tenure of Karl Lagerfeld is the Holy Grail of Chanel bags from the 2018 runway collection, a sparkling “Crystal ball handbag” with crystal silver-tone hardware and push-lock closure. A very chic Chanel “Shopping basket” signed Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel from the fall/winter 2014 runway collection. Featuring black lambskin trim with silver-plated brass accents, the interwoven basket design is adorned with a hanging CC logo charm and is extremely rare and sought after.
– Everything has been carefully taken care of in their original boxes and bags, dust bags and ribbons resulting in the collection being in excellent condition, something of high importance for both clients and collectors worldwide, says Marcus Nilsson, Specialist Fashion, Bukowskis.
The full collection is on view at Bukowskis in Stockholm between March 17th – 21st and available exclusively at the online auction from March 15th – 26th.
