No 23 of the de luxe-edition limited to 50 copies, bound by Sangorski & Sutcliffe in full cream morocco gilt, spine with raised bands, top edge gilt, else uncut. Insignificant soiling to binding and slipcase. Provenance: Säbylund, with book-plate.
The total edition was 350 copies, of which most were bound in buckram. First English edition of an eye-witness account of a three year voyage with Captain Cook by the botanist aboard H.M.S. Resolution.
