I augusti 1767 får han dock ett nytt arbete som "extraordinarius uti Kongl: generaltulldirektionens kansli"
Våren 1770 skriver Bellman den första av Fredmans Epistlar och fortsätter därefter i hög takt epistelproduktionen. Han flyttar nu till Urvädersgränd.
Gulnad med smärre fläckar, riss och veck.
