Alstret är komponerat 1921, men signerat o daterat först 1926. Motivet var återkommande och Tryggelin utförde 1949 den närmast identiska "Bolinders verkstäder vid Klara sjö (efter skiss från 1924)" Målningen finns i Stockholms stadsmuseums samlingar.
