I am indebted to you for sending me two bottles of your fine old brandy, so rare in these days. I shall personally experiment with it as you prescribed. Thank you so much for your kindness.

Reginald Purbrick (1877-1950) was the Conservative Party politician elected as Member of Parliament for Liverpool Walton. Purbrick stood in the House of Commons on February 7, 1945 to demand to know why Dresden and Würzburg had not yet been bombed by the RAF?
