Jake and Dinos Chapman were born in 1966 in Cheltenham and 1962 in London, England. They are an artist duo who have worked together since the year 1990. They studied at the Royal Collage of Art and have worked for Gilbert & George. They focus on creating post-modern art which stems from pre-existing cultural phenomena, incorporating everything from consumer goods to film, photography, music, and logos. They frequently sculpt using plastic and fiberglass, and their works often contain art historical references. They are most famously known for their renditions of Goya and the brutality of occupying forces in the series "Los Desastres de la Guerra" (The Disasters of War).
