Pedestal attributed to Helmer Osslund, Art Nouveau, 1890s.

Hard-fired stoneware with painted decoration of white irises against a green background on a drainpipe with a painted wooden disc. Height 87 cm, wooden disc diameter 38 cm.

Partial loss of colour. Later painted wooden panel. Scratches. Marks. Chips. Minor drying crack in the wooden panel.

Gift to Sophie Hellberg (1828-1809) Stockholm, from Helmer Osslund, subsequently passed down through the family. According to family tradition, as a thank you from Helmer Osslund for financial assistance for paint, brushes, and the like.
