Bowl, blue-glazed vase, brown-glazed vase, and triangular vase by Gunnar Nylund, all signed R Sweden GN, heights ranging from 6.5 to 15 cm.
Vase with yellow-green glaze by Stig Lindberg, signed Stig L with the studio hand, 1962, height 6.5 cm.
Conical vase glazed in brown tones by Carl-Harry Stålhane, signed R Stålhane 60 Sweden 567, height 9 cm.

The bowl with small glaze chips on the foot. Minor marks. Small glaze flaws. The yellow vase with reppair and small chip to mouth.

Designer

Gunnar Nylund (1904-1997) was a Swedish ceramicist, designer and sculptor. Gunnar Nylund was active for periods at Bing & Grøndahl, for a few years had his own workshop, Saxbo stentøj, and worked at Nymølle ceramic factory in Denmark. For most of his working life he lived in Sweden and was employed at Rörstrand porcelain factory 1931-59 where he was also assigned the role of artistic director. He has become known for his many different animal sculptures in stoneware, but he also made lots of vases, bowls, lamp bases, etc., as well as tableware and other utensils. Nylund also designed glass for Strömbergshyttan.

The demand for much of Gunnar Nylund's stoneware has increased in recent years, most sought after are early and unique large animal sculptures and large decorative vases with refined glazes. Even the rustic chamotte ware has received a greater demand, for example the spiky so-called 'hedgehog' vases.
