A Russian Silver Coffee Pot and Creamer, mark of Adolf Sper, St Petersburg 1839-1840
Assay master Dmitrij Ilitsch Twerskoj, active St Petersburg 1834-1850. Cream jug with interior gilding. Oval shape, on a profiled foot, decoration of broad gadroons and leaf decoration in relief. The coffee pot's insulation on the handle in ivory with band decoration. Finial in mother-of-pearl. Cream jug stamped 1839, coffee pot stamped 1840. Height 14-19 cm. Total weight 992 grams.
