A Rococo style fire screen, early 20th Century.
Bronzed. Richly carved decoration of crowning mussel formations, volutes, and winding acanthus leaves. On four feet. Silk embroidery with motifs of a bird, roses, a flower basket, and the year 1760 within a floral wreath with a ribbon bow. Width 93, height 117 cm.
Some wear. Marks. Embroidery not examined out of frame.
