Sven Stålberg, född 1893 i Harbo, Uppland. Stålberg studerade vid Uppsala tekniska skola 1915
och vid Tekniska skolan Stockholm 1916-17, Althins och Wilhelmssons målarskolor, för att fortsätta vid konstakademin 1919-1923
Han inledde sin konstnärsbana som skulptör, men gick senare över till bildkonsten.
Motivvalet är ofta landskap från Dalarna, Härjedalen, och stadsmotiv, och då främst från
Uppsala.
Under 1930 gjordes en del resor till Norge, b.la till Fredrikstad och Rörås, där många motiv
inhämtades.
