George Mulhauser, a 1960s 'Mr. Chair II armchair and ottoman for Plycraft Inc.
The Mr. Char II version with the star-shaped base was launched in 1962.
Molded walnut seat shell with diamond-tufted cushions, and neck rest. Vinyl upholstery. Six-pointed star-shaped base. Marked with manufacturer's sticker and paper label. Total width 90 cm. Seat height c. 36 cm. Total height 105 cm.
Partly significant wear. Veneer damages. Damages on the upholstery. Darkening of the upholstery. The Ottoman seat is loose from its metal base and parts for attachment are missing.
