A Russian trooper shaska saber, M1881.
Wooden hilt, guard and blade dated 1907 and stamped with manufacturer marks Zlatoust. Black leather covered scabbard with suspension ring and tipped with a brass chape. Length of the blade 86 cm. Total length 101 cm.
Partly hard wear. Renovated scabbard.
