Servisen har sitt ursprung i Göteborgs porslinsfabrik som skapade förlagan 1898 eller strax därefter. Rörstrands porslinsfabrik tog över regin 1914 och tillverkade serien i olika utföranden fram till 2002 med uppehåll mellan 1943 och 1966.
