A German hunting sword Hirschfanger, first half / mid 18th century.
The grip is wrapped with ray or shark skin. Shell formed guard. Decorated with hunting scenes and game. Length of the blade 56 cm, total length 69 cm.
Wear due to age and use. Tarnished. Uneven major wear on the blade. Quillon broken, missing.
