A RUG/WALLHANGING, knotted pile, ca 229,5 x 169,5 cm, an inscription: AL 1917.
A dark brown melange ground with a polychrome, stylized pattern of standing goats by a tree, flowers and a crown. A wide pale yellow main border with a flower vine.
Some wear, slightly dirty, minor stains and damages.
Provenance
According to the owner ordered by Arvid Lindman (Sweden's Prime Minister 1906-1911 and 1928-1930) for his wife Anna Lovisa Lindman (born Almström the 27th of July 1867) on the occasion of her 50th birthday the 27th of July 1917.
