Astrid Aagesen (1883-1965)

Astrid Marie-Frederike Aagesen was a Danish-Swedish designer. Aagesen studied at the Kunstindustriskolen for Kvinder and the Teknisk Skole in Copenhagen. She had her workshop in Helsingborg between 1920 and 1937, where she worked with objects in pewter and silver, occasionally also in copper. Among her collaborators were the artists Hugo Gehlin, Ivar Johnson, and Gösta Adrian-Nilsson. Several of her works were exhibited at the Jubilee Exhibition in Gothenburg in 1923 and the Stockholm Exhibition in 1930.
