More information

"The installation 'Don't be Afraid' consists of a number of sculptures in bronze and ceramics, depicting human figures that relate to each other in various ways. Through small gestures and nuances in body language, a story of courage and friendship is conveyed. The narrative revolves around taking the leap, trusting that everything will be alright, and the ability to see and receive support from our fellow human beings.

The starting point of the work has been questions and reflections on how our present time is increasingly dominated by fear. In these times of dystopia, it is difficult to defend oneself. Fear is something we all struggle with. Our fear hinders us and it awakens our desire to protect and defend ourselves. This often results in negative consequences such as closed-mindedness and unwillingness to accept people's differences. How do we prevent fear from taking up too much space and gaining power over us?" - Eva Larsson
