More information

George Nelson was commissioned to design wall clocks in 1947. He presumed that since most people used a wrist watch the wall clock has come to be a decorative element in people's homes. Thus he designed different models, each without the numbers. His first collection of 14 different models was put into production in 1949. Nelson continued to design a lot more wall clocks during the following years.
