More information

Matias Faldbakken is one of Norway’s most famous artists and writers. His father is also a famous writer (Knut Faldbakken), but this has not prevented Matias from becoming a bestselling writer himself, under the pen name of Abo Rasul. In 2005, he represented Norway at the Venice Biennale. His books and his art relate to activism, to the chasm between mainstream and underground culture, between independent art and commercialism, and the potential for artists to influence the real world with their utopian visions.
