1964 befinner sig Irvin Penn i Stockholm för att fotografera till en artikel om Sverige för Look Magasin. Förutom Ingmar Bergman avporträtterades bland annat även Harriet Andersson, Albert Bonnier, Kung Gustaf VI Adolf, Kronprins Gustaf och Birgit
Nilsson.
