Renovated. Wear due to age and use. Cracks due to dryness of the material. Veneer repair. Damages on the upholstery.
These armchairs were purchased for the family in the 1950s and were thoroughly renovated in the 1970s. The armchairs have been inherited by the current owner, architect Liisa Kock.
Alvar Aalto is one of Finland's most prominent architects and designers and one of Scandinavia's biggest proponents of modern architecture and design.
