A Swedish rococo giltwood mirror, Stockholm, later part 18th century.
Gilded and bronzed. The openwork crest with decoration of rocailles and shell formations, similar on the lower part. Dated with the Stockholm town mark 1775. Marked with a burn mark CC for Carl Corssar, possibly repaired by him (journeyman 1780, privileges for mirror manufacturing 1791). Height 84, width 37 cm.
Later mirror glass and bronze casing. Partially revealed earlier surfaces.
