A Swedish Sterling Silver Lidded Sugar Bowl, mark of Atelier Borgila, Stockholm 1941
Interior gilding. Octagonal bulbous shape with a recessed foot, upturned handles, and a lid with a notch for a spoon and a knob in the shape of a bouquet of flowers. Both the lid and the bowl are stamped. Width 16 cm, height 10 cm. Weight 452 grams.

Designer
Atelier Borgila was founded by Erik Fleming in 1921. The firm quickly established a solid clientele, and its work was characterized by high quality combined with a stylish elegance. The firm was taken over in 1959 by his son Lars Fleming, who successfully continued the workshop and company until 2005 when the firm was sold to the silversmith Henrik Ingemansson
