A Victorian four-piece sterling silver coffee and tea service, maker's mark of William Smily, London 1856.

Richly decorated with flowers and foliage, hinged lids with bird motif finial, body with vacant cartouches on both sides. Acanthus leaf scroll handles, the teapot and coffee pot with ivory insulators.
The height of the coffee pot 25 cm, the total length of the teapot 25.5 cm, sugar bowl width 21 cm handles included, cream jug height 11 cm.
Total weight 2373 g.
The CITES-certficate valid in EU only, not for use outside the European Union.

Please, note that the item cannot be exported outside the European Union as long as the EU stricter domestic measures relating to ivory are in place.

One cartouche on the teapot with a minor dent. The coffee pot's thumbpiece with a small rupture. The general impression is good.
