At this winter’s themed auction, Swedish Art Glass, Bukowskis presents a curated selection of art glass by some of Sweden’s most sought-after glass designers. Browse through a handpicked collection of rarities from the entire 20th century and beyond.
Highlights include several sand-cast sculptures by Bertil Vallien for Kosta Boda, such as “007”, an abstract composition in the shape of a face, and “Voyage II”, an elegant floating boat with internal gilding. Also featured is one of Ingeborg Lundin's apples with green underlay, today a design icon, first created in the 1950s, and a four-sided “Ravenna” bowl by Sven Palmqvist from 1965, both for Orrefors.
The themed auction also includes contemporary art glass, such as the sculpture “Winter Coffee Large” by Ernst Billgren, made in Berengo Studio in 1999 on Murano, Italy, along with several unique pieces by Ulrica Hydman-Vallien for Kosta Boda. Several of these Vallien pieces come directly from Sivert Oldenvi's distinguished glass collection.
We invite you to explore the auction and place your bids on your favourites.
