Commissioned by Britain's Ministry of Defence during WWII, the WWW (Watch, Wrist, Waterproof) series was designed as a standard-issue field watch. Twelve manufacturers, nicknamed the "Dirty Dozen" by collectors, including Omega, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Longines, and Cyma, were contracted to produce them.
