The Privy Councillor, Count Jacob Gyllenborg (1648 - 1701) was a close associate of King Carl XI and a diligent agent of reduction. He served as the Governor of Stockholm & Uppsala counties, as the Marshal of the Realm for the nobility at the Riksdag of 1693, and was the progenitor of the Gyllenborg family.
