A blue and white dish, Tianqi/Chongzhen, 17th century.
Octagonal. Decorated with underglaze blue flowers and fruits to the interior, a bird in a garden to the center of the dish. The exterior with auspicous objects. Wanli like mark to the base. Diameter 19.5 cm.
Wear to the surface of the glaze. Firing crack to the base.
Provenance
Property of a private Swedish collector, long term member of the Swedish Oriental Ceramics Society who started to collect in the early 1980's.
