Fabergé, a silver-mounted glass carafe, marked with Imperial Warrant, and inventory number, Moscow 1908-1917.

Fabergé, a silver-mounted glass carafe, marked with Imperial Warrant, and inventory number, Moscow 1908-1917.

Internally gilded silver mount. Hinged lid with gadroons, and a pine cone shape finial, reeded handle. A laurel wreath decorates both sides. Height 21 cm.
Marked on the inside of the lid K. Fabergé, 88, and with scratched inventory number 19353, the neckvstamped in Cyrillic KF and 88, the handle 88.

Minor chips. Surface wear on the bottom. Engraved monogram and date 1886-1911 in the wreaths. Wear due to age and use.

Provenance

Brought from St. Petersburg during the time of the Russian Revolution, thence by descent in the same family.
