More information

The Imperial yacht Derzhava served three Tsars—Alexander II, Alexander III, and Nicholas II—over a span of 27 years. Renowned as the largest and most luxurious yacht ever built in Imperial Russia, its lavish interior, including porcelain details, was crafted by the architect Monigetti, best known for designing St. Petersburg's Polytechnic Museum and the grand staircase of the Catherine Palace.
The yacht's service accommodated 30 people and was produced at the Imperial Porcelain Factory between 1871 and 1874, with additional pieces added in 1878. Archival records from 1890 reveal that Derzhava carried 816 porcelain pieces from the Formal Service.
