Scroll and shell motif decorated brim. Richly engraved. Inscription on the reverse side: "Robert Alexander to Henry Brock Esquire A Tribute of Gratitude and Esteem 1845".
Diameter 55 cm excl the feet, height 6 cm. Weight ca. 4000 g. Marked D.C. Rait fecit.

The central engraving possibly later. The underside with traces of previously erased engravings. The dedication executed over such surface. Wear due to age and use.
