Roman Liška is an artist born in 1980 who lives and works in London. His art is characterised by a versatile use of techniques and a bold integration of pop and visual culture references, which gives his work a distinctive character. Liška aims to expand the expressive means of art through a deep understanding of forms and textures. He is acutely aware of his spatial surroundings and makes nearly flat arrangements appear sculptural. Liška was educated at Goldsmiths University of London (2008-2011) and the Royal College of Art in London (2011-2013), where he developed his artistic practice. He has had solo exhibitions at Espace D'art Contemporain in Fort-de-France, Martinique, in both 2018 and 2022, as well as at DUVE in Berlin and Brand New Gallery in Milan, both in 2013. In addition to his solo exhibitions, he has participated in several group exhibitions, including "Random Papers" and "10 Is A Magic Number!" at Espace D'art Contemporain, Martinique (2023), and the 6th Prague Biennale at the Freight Railway Station in Prague (2013).
