Mahogany, top covered with green fabric. Five drawers. Baluster-shaped legs. Length 181 cm, width 92 cm, height 80 cm. Key included.

Only two out of five locks are functional. Wear. Damages. Stains. Marks. Two escutcheons are missing. Loose mouldings, missing mouldings. Veneer damage. Loose veneer parts, missing veneer parts. Legs with cracks. Mould.

Provenance

Emanuel Nobel (1859-1932).
The desk depicted in Elsa Backlund's watercolour (1904) of Emanuel in his study at the St. Petersburg home.
Anton Carlsund (1865-1958), an engineer at the Ludvig Nobel Machinery Factory in St. Petersburg, later became the CEO of Nobel-Diesel in Nynäshamn, subsequently acquired by the Bolin family.
