A Chinese silk embroidered robe panel, Qing dynasty (1644-1912).

Embroidery with the 'forbidden knot' or 'Peking knot' in different colours and metal thread to a light ground. The motif depicts a five-clawed dragon chasing the flaming pearl, surrounded by cloud formations, antiques, and bats. The lower part includes a peach tree and lingzhi mushrooms, as well as a ruyi sceptre rising from foaming waves. Dimensions including frame 64 x 15.5 cm.

Not examined out of frame. Stains. Faded.
